It is only now, looking back, that I realise what a journey we have actually been on. Over the past few years, we have had periods that have been both turbulent and instructive, people who have come and gone, and decisions that have been anything but easy to make. But it is precisely those chapters that have shaped us and led us to where we are today. I feel it. As a person and as a business guy.
There are five of us here now. Five. In an age where strength is often measured and judged (sadly) by how many people you have, how much revenue you generate or what title you hold, that may seem small. But for us, it has never felt better. And we don’t believe that size equates to how ‘well things are going’. We have become more present, more focused, more cohesive. The paradox is that we may have become fewer in number, but we have grown in everything that really matters.
I feel enormous gratitude to everyone who has been part of our journey. Colleagues who contributed their time, energy and ideas – regardless of how long they stayed. Customers who believed in us and gave us the confidence to create together every day. Coaches and friends who showed us new perspectives when we were struggling. All these people are part of our history, and without them we would not be here today.
Of course, there have been times when we have been truly tested. I remember many challenges, but especially one period when we struggled extra hard. When the path the company was led down almost caused us to lose what we had built. It was painful, but also a decisive moment. It made it clear to me that it’s not the big words that count, but the small actions and the clear direction that show whether something really lasts. The decision was made there and then. And a couple of goodbyes later, everything changed. And daring to stand by that, even when it was tough, has given me a strength that feels more real than any growth curve could ever show.
Today, there is a different feeling. A calmness. A harmony. We know where we are going, and we are going there together. We are a tight-knit group who trust each other, cover for each other and grow together. That kind of bond cannot be forced; it grows naturally, through both adversity and prosperity. And that is precisely why it feels so genuine now. During the week, we also do things together – volleyball, yoga, activities that may sound simple on the surface, but which make a big difference to us as people. I would say: ask our partners or those we live with, they notice it more clearly than we can explain.
But what exactly has happened then?
For the first time in many years, we have managed to solve an equation that often seems impossible: we are growing in creativity, we have focused working hours, and we are profitable as a result. It sounds simple, but it is not. Nevertheless, we are here and have found the balance, which allows us to look ahead with confidence.
It’s not about size, and that has never been clearer than it is now. It’s about what you actually achieve. About the results you leave behind, the relationships you build, the value you truly create. And right now, we are leaving behind something I have never felt more strongly: good things, peace of mind and pride.
This is our reality. And it doesn’t feel like the end, but rather the beginning of something even greater. Thank you to you, whom I am talking about. And thank you to you who read my post.
